Kanze Dena Mararo is the Communication Secretary Office of the Facilitator of the EAC-led Nairobi.Process on the Restoration of Peace and Stability in the Eastern DRC.
Kanze Dena was a renowned media personality and has 15 years’ experience in the media industry where she worked as a Senior Swahili anchor and Television Producer. She began her career at the KENYA BROADCASTING CORPORATION then moved to ROYAL MEDIA SERVICES, under the citizen tv stable. In 2018 Kanze later moved to government where she served for 4 years as the Spokesperson and Head of the Presidential Strategic Communication Unit. Kanze Dena is the first woman in the country to hold that position. She was awarded the Moran of the Order of the Burning Spear (M.B.S) by President Uhuru Kenyatta, 4th President of the Republic of Kenya for her exemplary service to the Nation.
In addition to her role as Communication Secretary Kanze spends her time with small groups of women inspiring them and motivating them to build their self – esteem something she struggled with for a long time. Using her experience, she inspires the women to know and believe that ‘I am enough’. She does this in partnership with Diva’s spark a 12-week program aimed at igniting the spark that is in every woman so that they may reach their full potential in every phase of their lives.
Away from Professional scope Kanze is passionate about the Creative Arts and believes that the industry, which is quickly growing is an opportunity to shape the community we want. She is a great supporter of Buy Kenya Build Kenya and spends most of her time watching local productions. She loves to travel, music and spending quality time with family and friends.
She is a born-again Christian, wife and mother who is passionate about women empowerment she believes that every woman regardless of her status in the community has a voice and needs to be heard, because she is the foundation of success in the community.

I am a strategic communications expert with over 15 years of experience in content development and marketing, with a stint working in media, public relations, and communication consultancy projects for corporations, government, and non-governmental organizations.
My speciality is in creating new campaigns and setting trends, and agendas to help brands stay relevant and become a household name. I have also managed website, social media, and offline campaign content for corporate clients.
Pauline Warui

Pauline Warui is a business thought leader in both Commercial and Customer Experience with over 25 years’ experience. She is the founder of East Africa Customer Care Centre Ltd, a leading company in training and execution of customer experience for businesses in Africa. She is the Chair of the Commonwealth Business Women-Africa, Kenyan Chapter and also serves as the Executive Continental Head of Trade for Africa.
She has been instrumental in shaping Gender and Business prosperity agendas in Kenya and Africa. She is also an award winning business expert in these areas. Previously she has worked for the leading Telecommunications, Oil and Insurance company’s. She has also worked with Paging Services, Capital Pagers, Kencell Telecommunications and Chevron Global at Senior and Executive levels. Her last employment post was Safaricom PLC as Director, Customer Management where she played a critical role in setting-up Safaricom’s contact centre; the biggest of its kind in East and Central Africa.
She is also a director at Kline Insurance Agency where she is in charge of the commercial portfolio and board member of Muruguru Girls Secondary School in Kenya. She is also a board member of Quatrix Group among others.
